Unlike key cards or fobs, which can be lost, stolen, or shared, Swiftlane's facial recognition access control ties entry privileges directly to a person's unique biometric identity, eliminating credential sharing and unauthorized access.
Enrollment takes about 60 seconds and happens entirely from the user's own phone through the Swiftlane app. They take a short series of photos, the system builds their encrypted facial template, and they can use face recognition at any authorized door from that point forward.
Facial recognition is fully optional for Swiftlane users. Residents and employees choose whether to enroll, and anyone who doesn't want to use face recognition can use the Swiftlane mobile app, a PIN, a key fob, or a phone-based intercom call instead.
No. Swiftlane uses 2D and 3D depth data for anti-spoofing, which means a flat photo, a phone screen showing a video, or a printed image won't unlock the door.
Facial data is stored encrypted on SOC 2-certified cloud servers with strict access restrictions. Swiftlane never sells, shares, or uses biometric data for advertising or profiling, and never uses it to train AI models for outside companies. Residents can delete their facial data at any time by removing themselves from face recognition in the app.
Yes. The recognition system learns and adapts to gradual changes in appearance, like facial hair growth, weight changes, new glasses, different makeup, and aging. For dramatic changes (e.g., a completely new haircut), residents can rescan their face in the Swiftlane app in under a minute to update their profile.
